Nubia Henderson

Nubia S. Henderson is an accomplished programming and community‑impact leader whose 25‑year career spans media production, nonprofit leadership, education, consulting, entrepreneurship, and design. She serves as Director of Programming at THE MART, where she oversees NeoCon’s year‑round content platform and leads initiatives that elevate diverse voices, industry innovation, and emerging talent across the commercial interiors community.

Nubia began her career producing live events and working across television, film, radio, advertising, and the arts before expanding into youth development and civic‑centered program leadership at After School Matters and Intonation Music. She currently serves on the boards of Designing a Better Chicago and Hip Hop by Design and recently moderated an industry panel at Chicago Build, reflecting her growing presence as a facilitator and community advocate in the design ecosystem. Her previous board service includes New Moms and Mocha Moms Chicago.
