As a public-health scientist, Erika leads Perkins&Will’s research on the population-health impacts of its K–12 schools, affordable housing, and urban frameworks. She is a principal investigator on the development of the Public Repository to Engage Community & Enhance Design Equity (PRECEDE) tool, funded by a Transform Research Grant from the American Society of Interior Designers. She earned her doctorate in Environmental Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a Master of Public Health in Climate and Health from Columbia University. In March 2023, she joins the U.S. EPA’s Children’s Health Protection Advisory Committee.
